A Fresh Start

Hey there internet folks,

Long time no see! I think that may be the understatement of the entire century. I believe I have not written a blogpost in over two years, nearly three actually. Now that is just not okay. I don't even think I have a legit reason for this. I can only apologise.
Probably what was going through my little brain was that people are more inclined to watch videos nowadays hence why my YouTube channel took over for a while. Although saying that, I haven't posted a YouTube video in like 6/7 months. So that kind of defeats that excuse. Oops.

Anyways, the whole point of this blogpost was to start up my blog again, I want to start writing blogs more, I find its a nice way to get to thoughts written down. P.s I'm also going to start my YouTube channel up again too. I really miss it. Both blogging and vlogging.
I don't want to set myself really difficult aims at first, so I'm starting off by trying to write a blogpost at least once a week. That way its not too much pressure and I can not get stressed out about it. I think that was one of the problems with what was happening before, I wasn't setting realistic aims and routines for my videos and things and it would get to the point where everyday life would get in the way and I would get so stressed out and end up giving up. Which totally isn't the right thing to do but anyways haha.

I hope you can excuse this ramble and I'll be back with another blogpost next Wednesday! Leave me a comment if you have any ideas on what you would like me to write a post about!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Review

BARRY M HI-SHINE NAIL PAINT REVIEW
Since I have recently fallen in love with the Barry M original nail paints, I decided to try out the hi-shine gelly nail paints and here is my review of the three that I bought. First of to tell you what colours I actually bought, I got Blueberry, Satsuma and Grapefruit (left to right).

First off, I'm a big nail polish person, just because I really hate my hands and nails, they are just not the best at all. So because of that, I tend to buy a lot of nail polishes so that I can feel a bit better about them. As I mentioned, I have recently discovered the Barry M polishes and I really love them, I think they're amazingly cheap to get, the prices for them range from around £3- £5 which is amazing prices for nail polishes of such good quality.
As I had never tried the Gelly Nail Paints before I decided to go and try them out after eyeing them up in the shops for a long time. So I went into Superdrug and to my delight, they had a 3 for 2 offer, which was nice to see because I wanted to get a few colours. After pondering which colours to get I decided on the three and then went home. I painted my nails with the blueberry one when I got home and I was instantly amazed. The colouring is amazing on these, out of all three I think the blue one was slightly more sheer than the others but that was only just a little bit, the blue was still very coloured.

When looking for nail polishes, I think everyone wants to keep that shine that you get when you first paint your nails. So when the hi-shine label caught my eye, I decided to give them a try. So far, I've been impressed with the shine of them although, they're not as shiny as I had expected but they do the trick.

So far, I've really been enjoying using these and I might just have to pop into the stores to get more colours!

I hoped you've enjoyed this little review on these polishes please follow my blog as there will be plenty more blogposts to come in the future!

Review: Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

hello there :)

So this is my first makeup/beauty blog I don't exactly know what to write about so I thought I'd start off with a review of the Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation that I have recently purchased for the first time.

I'd like to start just by saying how in love with this product I am. It's the best foundation I've ever used and well worth the money. With a slightly steep price tag of £24, it's enough to put a lot of people off, not everyone, but some. If you are like myself however, you wouldn't have minded investing in it. Now that's not to say I'm rich and stuck up, in fact, I'm the complete opposite. I actually iron to get my money, and there's not that much of an income with that, so I do have to be careful what I spend. Anyway, that's not the point.

Quite recently, I've had bad breakouts on my face and a lot of redness too. Therefore, I wanted something to cover up my blemishes, even out my skin tone and give my skin a nice, healthy looking glow at the same time. I know that's a lot to ask for and it's hard to find in a foundation, but I was determined to find a foundation that worked for me and did all the things I wanted it to do. So I researched for a long time, read a ton of reviews, went to dozens of places asking for samples. After trying all the samples, I still didnt feel like any of them worked as I would have liked them to.

As I started to get disheartened and wanted to give up on my search and just settled for one that I already had. However, I was searching through beauty videos and came across one of Zoella's (@Zozeebo) videos where she mentioned the Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation. Since she had nothing but good things to say about the product, I just went straight ahead and bought it, I know that it probably wasn't the best thing to do, but I was just fed up and couldn't be bothered to sample it first.

So getting back to the actual product, I really love this foundation. I know it might seem a bit unrealistic for a foundation to do all the things I wanted it to, but it really does. It's a gel like formula and really pigmented, which means you don't need a lot. I literally put a pea-sized amount on the back of my hand and it covers my whole face, which to me is amazing.
This was actually the first Mac product I ever bought, and this was a great first impression of the brand and I've since bought more things from Mac since then.

So that's basically everything I have to say, as you may have read, I absolutely love this product and will definitely buy again. Thank you for taking the time to read this :).
